2nd Canoe trip Even closer to home Starting at Saltford Shallows easy parking and easy put in.
Went downstream first to The Lock keeper pub and weir then back up stream towards Bath,Not sure why !?
Boats & fisherman on this one so keep on the Right side.
Heading up past The Current Railway on one side and old,Bristol to Bath Cycle Route on Other.
Passing Fields and more fields.Then you hit Newbridge More Boats and then a difficult Lock with steep sides ,Strong Arms needed back in after lock past Pc World and Baths Many Students Blocks the Metal sides to river Starts,to prevent flooding ,doesn't look very nice .Under many bridges then Bath new Riverside development big blocks of ....Flats.Winding round eventuly to Pulteney Weir a brief stop on weir island and return.Around 13 miles!!!
