Thought as our canoe never gets used we'd swap the walking for a bit of exploring closer to home.
1st trip starting at Batheaston, Parking on High st as 3hr limit on car park but ok to put canoe in there. Heading up stream its completely rural with the noise of the traffic soon disappearing.Kingfishers,Herons flying past typical ! Didn't trust not going in so didn't take it, Iphone was camera.With no other Boats on River Its very nice,we headed on up to Warleigh Weir decided to Portage through field and put in on top weir,then on up to Limpley Stoke Stopping at the weir.also went a little way up Midford Brook bit Shallow maybe Winter Paddle.Returned back .
