With snow on the forecast we headed to the hills of Lansdown,Bath

when we previously did part of this walk on our Bath Perimeter walk in June 2014 with very hot temperatures blue skies perfect walking I'd say ! But today A light sprinkling of snow made it all look equally stunning and blue skies to start.

Starting From A housing estate in Weston called Eastfield Avenue head towards the Cotswold Way which soon climb up towards Lansdown top

snow beginning to melt as sunshine was getting Warm ! Muddy tracks with melt water but the views all around made it worth it .

Soon at Beckfords Tower looking down over into Weston and southern Bath .Snow quite thick here, well 2 inches anyway

This view looks towards the Mendip hills

Another year another wednesday !
This week Gloucestershire was our target with the hope of a sort of ridge walk .Starting at Wotton under edge and quickly heading up Tor hill with great views towards the Bristol Channel and beyond.
The track was very muddy a better summer or dry spring walk i think

With A Great looking mossy stonewall on left continuing along  must be old Roman road toward Goose Green Communications Tower

Built in1963 taking 9 months to complete with tunnels underneath area and main dishes pointing towards GCHQ Maybe GOV. listen post ? BT Phone Masts dominate now .

A Alpaca in farm

Then down a very steep track towards Marlees Brook past horses and out on to open fields lined with forest either side .Stopped by Brook and i saw a Water Vole!

Buzzards And Raven soaring overhead here.

Then After  Travelling along the worst footpath of the year !!! Woodland,muddy,45 degree angle TO LONG!

We Came to Boxwell Court Lake Nice,Although now its raining !

Its said that Walter Raleigh used to own house belonging to lake.

Then after a break here up hill towards to top of our ridge walk WINDY

carry on along past trigpoint then follow on down towards Wortley

Nice valley with some good views

Into Wortley take small footpath up steep bank in to gardens follow through to be greeted with pagodas, statues Ponds and ducks !

From here we followed road back to End .
