 6/10

Parking @Gurney Slade BA3 4TH

A Walk this week starting @ Gurney Slade ,the last chance quarry is a ref to our many attempts to walk a footpath round any quarry and view the workings this, the last quarry for us but Best view from a quarry goes to walk 46 @ Wick
nice picnic spot ontop large rock !

Onwards and nice views out over Somerset on this walk

Glastonbury just to right of wind turbine

Not trigpoint but Milestone on the road from Frome to Wells,. The missing plate would have read Frome  10    /  Wells 5.
                           probably early C19.

Beacon hill wood

Limekiln Wood

Mining has been going here since the Roman times ,an old sluice still remains as well as The brick channels and watercourses

The George at Nettlebridge

Watched these Rabbits chasing each other ,then mate !
Spring definitely on the way !

The last chance Quarry walk, chance ended here
it was1.45pm when we arrived we'd heard the blasting siren
so decided the road way would be best so no Quarry.!

But we did walk past all this

A working quarry but no view :(
so cross busy A37 and back to end .
Thought the Black n White looked cool ?
