Two walks in Wiltshire to finish of our spliting up of the Perimeter Path or Imber Range Path.started early 7.30am ! got to Chitterne about 8.30am the sky was blue but a heavy mist was everywhere,we started off in wrong direction as usuall !
Then once on course headed up towards Copehill training camp ,some beautiful vistas with mist and sunlight , even a hunting Sparrowhawk. 2 Amoured carriers from behind trees was all the hardware we saw but and a few very loud Artillery shells shattered the Peace.continued to Tilshead then along quite road for 3miles to Chitterne.
A break then short drive to Edington for final bit of Path .From Edington up path on to top, some nicely placed benches and some great looking strip Lynchets to Perimeter Path and return,we got lost on prevoius walk or did wrong bit hence this small but crucial bit, Imber Perimeter Path Done !!

A great walk starting at Winterbourn Basset climbing up to ridgeway following this historic route though some rather large puddles ,but watching Red Kites who cares! 10 of them  .Then Taking in Barbury Castle And even Hackpen White Horse .Views everywhere .

Wildlife

Did i mention 10 Red Kites on walk with 6 together on tree with rooks and raven seemed to be quite happy i think resident birds seen others in fields along route hunting and kiteing around ! Raven,Rook,50+Chaffinch,Buzzard,Kestrel,Lots of small birds in fields no binoc !
