A pleasant walk from East Harptree into woods  a quick stop at small lake  produced a few dragons ! on to the Mendips through a  hard to follow path,but its there ,really.
Although are Views were very misty temperature was hot 22c .From top a gradual decent to Litton lakes  and a nice place for dinner. Then a bit more uphill to Hinton Blewit for some great views over chew valley and apparently south Wales on a good day !

taking in Lower Westwood,Winfield, Rode,Telisford & River Frome.

If you like  Fields ,Freisian's stiles and gates, badly marked paths then this walk is for you ! seriously though needs a tweek ! Best bit River Frome .Highlight 2 kingfishers .

70. Maes Knoll Maw (10miles)

Starting at Woolard this walk follows the River Chew and on to Pensford Viaduct,

up through woods with wild flowers and wildlife.then to Maes knoll trig and Iron age hill Fort
with views from top of Bristol,Chew valley lake and even Westbury White Horse can be seen !
more views of Bristol and in to housing estate ,bit of everything on this one ! ,
follow across fields with lake to come and down hill walk to finish !
